Make it
Dolma, Egyptian grape leaves
Make rice filling: basmati rice, ground beef (and lamb if you want), za’atar spice, tomato, ground grape leaves, thyme
Wrap grape leaves around rice filling
Set in a pot with yellow potatoes under it, and tomatoes and lemon on top, put around 2cm of water, boil for 30 mins, then let potatoes crisp on the bottom and steam
Taste
It’s a bit tangy, but then you get umami from the beef rice filling, the snap when you bite through the grape leaf is immaculate The potatoes are also soft and a little tangy which is nice It’s very unique
